Editorial policy

Last updated

BetterBuyRx publishes cost and savings information about US prescription drugs. This policy explains how that content is produced, reviewed, sourced, and corrected, so you can judge how much to trust it.

Who writes our content

Content is produced by the BetterBuyRx Editorial Team. We do not publish under invented author names or fabricated clinician credentials. Our current articles are written for education and are not medically reviewed. A review badge will appear only after a named, verified licensed reviewer has reviewed that specific page. Reviewer profiles will state credentials, specialty, and review scope; we do not create placeholder reviewer profiles.

What we cover, and what we do not

We cover prescription pricing, savings tactics, and how to compare options. We do not provide medical advice, dosing guidance, treatment recommendations, or efficacy claims. Decisions about which medication is right for you belong with your prescriber or pharmacist.

Sourcing standards

When we make a factual claim about health or cost, we aim to cite an authoritative, primary source. The references we rely on most include:

Pricing figures come from published pharmacy and program sources, as described on our how prices work and methodology pages.

How we use AI

Some of our content is produced with AI assistance and then reviewed and edited by the editorial team before publishing. We disclose this openly rather than passing AI-assisted work off as something else. AI is a drafting and research aid; editorial judgment and source-checking remain human responsibilities. Our chat feature is an automated agent and will disclose that it is AI if you ask.

Clinical review and risk tiers

Health Library content is classified as low, moderate, or high risk. Publish-ready clinical content requires cited sources, and high-risk pages require a review-due date. Pages that predate this model remain labeled as legacy while their sourcing is evaluated. A reviewer name is never added unless the review actually occurred.

Updates and freshness

Content pages carry a last-updated date. We revise pages when sources change, when we find an error, or when guidance evolves. Prices are refreshed on their own schedule, described on the how prices work page.

Corrections

If you find a mistake in our content or a price that looks wrong, tell us and we will investigate. Material corrections are updated promptly; the page date changes when the substance changes. We retain the original public URL and document significant corrections in the article when reader understanding could be affected. Email [email protected] for price corrections or [email protected] for anything else. You can also use our contact page.
